Email replacement please!

The problem with email is it has no inherent ability to provide any level of organization that contextually maps to importance or subject matter. Instead the human brain is asked to do context mapping with random piece of data.   Our brains  no doubt have the ability to categorize, but not 100 times or more per day!  Instead we need a dashboard type system that we can filter by pre ordained tag, by person, by date, by level of importance and by net effect on some organizational metric like goal, or bill ability, paying bills, or friendships.  The tools are all their in Outlook, Entourage or whatever other system, but they are just not smart enough and require a huge manual effort to set up with often unexpected outcomes.
